The Ben and the Jerry
We ordered a dessert, which turned out to be the best dessert I've ever had! When it was prepared I was worried the combination of flavours would be too much, but it wasn't. First a big piece of brownie was placed on a plate. Then two scoops of ice cream was placed neatly on it. Then we were asked if we wanted chocolate-, caramel sauce or both. We wanted both. He put whipped cream on top of that, then asked what kind of sprinkles we wanted. We chose mini m&m's. It tastes amazing, but left us feeling really tired afterwards.

Red Velvet Cake
A red velvet cake is a rich, moist, sweet cake with a dark red, bright red or red- brown color. It is usually prepared as a layer cake somewhere between chocolate and vanilla in flavor, topped with a creamy icing. Common ingredients are buttermilk, butter, flour, cocoa and either beets (!) or red food coloring. Cream cheese or butter cream frostings are also used (Source: Wikipedia).
We spoke to a man who worked at the bakery where we purchased the cake. He basically told us the cake is a result of lack of ingredients. During the war when ingredients were rationed, bakers used boiled beets to enhance the color of their cakes. Which explain the redness.
Chioma: I think it sucked. I felt like throwing up. I give the cake -1 out of 10.
Chinwe: I was hesitant of eating the cake to begin with because it contained beets, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I can’t really say what the cake tasted like; it didn’t have a distinct taste, at least not in my mouth at least. It wasn’t bad, but not perfect. The cake was really soft, which I liked. I give the cake 6 out of 10.
Stargate
Last week we got the opportunity to visit Jay Z’s Roc the Mic Studio on Manhattan. It was such a surreal experience. Imagine getting a call, telling you you’re welcome to come over for a visit. Not any old studio, Jay Z’s studio. We got to talk to Tor Erik Hermansen and and Mikkel S. Eriksen, the geniuses behind Stargate. They have worked with some of the greatest artists in the world, such as Jay Z, Beyonce, Rihanna and Ne-Yo. We also got to talk to Alexis Jordan, who is the first person signed to StarRoc. Alexis is so nice and talented. We can’t wait to see her become the star that she is.
Shout out to Stargate for letting us come over. We had a great time.

A friend of ours and our sister went to the Ryan Leslie concert yesterday. I was told that our sister and our friend were treated disrespectfully, by the same people that continue to disrespect us. Don’t you think we know who you guys are? Even if we smile when we see you, we still hate you! The thing is that we don’t even smile to the most of you, you guys don’t even know us but still you disrespect and hate on us. It’s one thing to hate on us, but our friend and sister too? Who are you? No I really mean, who are you? How dare you stare at my friend, point at her and whisper ABOMINATION, just so loud that she could hear it. You don’t even have to balls to say it to her face and our face, and when mutual friends introduce us to each other you dare say you already know us, but when you see us on the street you hide your face and pretend not to see us. Hi Everyone
Yesterday we met up with our cousin Ikenna and his girlfriend Mallory. They took us to Bed Stuy, Brookyln. We had to take the subway to get there. Personally, I have never been so afraid in my whole life. This was the first (and only) time we had took the subway during our whole entire stay. We’ve only taken taxi or walked. You know how we do.
PS: It was super seeing you again Ikenna and it was nice meeting you Mallory.
